Occupation(s): Being the Varia captain is a full-time job; however, Arashi has a degree is veterinary medicine, a politic science degree, and a law degree. He's also been known to offer his services to the police as an information broker.

Loyal by nature, Arashi doesn't easily betray those he has declared his loyalty to and doesn't like it when anybody else betrays that loyalty as well. Loyalty in the mafia is hard to come by and it's something that is earned, rather than given. Sometimes compared to a dog, Arashi's protective nature is a great thing to have, especially towards whoever he is protective to. Vicious as a guard dog, Arashi would be willing to murder for those he deems worthy of his loyalty and his protection. A predator by that same nature of his, Arashi is highly methodical and very patient. He doesn't like having to do something more than once, so he simply does it right the first time. Patience is definitely a trait to have when it comes to some of the work he does because it means he does do it right the first time. Intelligence is a given, considering his position as Varia captain. Sometimes, he doesn't act like he's intelligent which can sometimes make people wonder about him, but that's just one of his oddities. There is a very fine line between madness and genius when it comes to him. Arashi tends to tell like it is in a candid nature, which is both good and bad. He never sugarcoats anything for people and is more for telling them the truth about something rather than keeping it from them unless he has to. Despite this, Arashi does tend to be manipulative and tends to twist his words to fit the situation or hide something from somebody because the situation calls for it. He is the captain of the Varia and sometimes, a little bit of manipulation and secrets is a necessary evil.

Arashi is incredibly arduous, much to the annoyance of some of the people closest to him. He does things whenever he wants, however he wants. It's a bit difficult to get him to do what somebody wants because he just likes making people squirm. Those who manage to get him to do what they want are a rare breed. Arashi's love of making people squirm makes him rather patronizing and antagonistic. His prideful and arrogant nature makes it even more obnoxious when he is patronizing and antagonizing somebody. To be honest, the fact that his grandfather never killed him makes Xanxus one of those rare breeds. Of course, it doesn't help that Arashi at a certain point in his childhood knew that patronizing his grandfather and Squalo was probably not a good idea...but he did it anyway because it was fun. The more one delves into Arashi's personality, the more they realizes that those he is protective and loyal to he is also incredibly possessive over. They are /his./ They can complain about how possessive he is, but the apathetic trait of his that he shares with his half-brother makes him not give a damn about what anybody else thinks. He is rather blunt and will inform somebody of the fact that he doesn't give a damn what they think, as well and will tell people how it is rather than try to sugarcoat it. Arashi finds it difficult to express how he feels in most situations, which could partially be blamed on his upbringing in the Varia where the most common emotion that flew around was anger or apathy. His apathy and inability to express how he feels often leads his personal relationships to not work out. Despite a habit of avoiding work, one could say he was married to his job.

History Much like his half-brother, Casval, Xanxus' bloodline escaped the confines of Italy and into the small island country of Japan. Arashi, born Arashi Tsukino, was also the result of a very short-lived fling between a Japanese student studying abroad in Italy and the skirt-chasing son of Xanxus. Like many students who find themselves pregnant during their education, they have to make an important choice between education and child. She, at first, had chosen her education over the well-being of her child. Of course, her choice didn't last very long because once her family had discovered that she was bearing a child out of wedlock, they cut her off completely and she was forced to drop out half-way through her second year of college. Her parents gave her an ultimatum, place the child up for adoption and get rid of it, or be kicked out of her house. Angry with her parents for trying to place her with such a decision, she chose to be kicked out of the house shortly before the birth of her child.
It was hard for a single mother and a college drop-out to take care of a child as unruly and wild as Arashi. She couldn't afford daycare and could only ask neighbors in the small apartment complex she lived in to keep an eye on the child during her work hours. She was working two jobs, a waitress and a bartender at a nightclub. It was increasingly difficult to raise a child and work, especially a child that was getting older and getting into trouble. It was a lot easier when he couldn't walk, but Arashi had always been a little bit of a wild child...even as a child.
It was what finally broke the camel's back when she was fired from her job as a bartender because she was often late for work because she was tired after her first job. She remembered the deal her parents had offered. Get rid of the child and come back...or leave. That child was the cause of every problem that had plagued her life up until this point. She wasn't sure how the adoption process worked or how long it would take. She wanted out now. So one night, while her child was asleep, she slipped out of the apartment and never looked back or cared what happened to her child after that. She returned to her family, finished her college and even got married and had a set of twins with her rich husband. Life was good. The four years of being an unwed mother had just been a nightmare to her.
After Arashi's abandonment, he started living off the kindness of some of the tenants that had babysat him on a regular basis, but they couldn't afford a child either and eventually after a couple days of waiting for the return of his mother, he was out on the streets. A young child on the streets...it was probably impossible for him to survive long...but he was only there for a couple weeks. At some point after he'd finally stopped living in the apartment, there was an instance where his Wrath flames emerged. He was almost five at the time and the fact that flames would emerge so young was rarely heard of, especially with how volatile Wrath flames were. It wasn't long before the news of a Flame of Wrath user reached the Varia and Xanxus and he, already know the skirt-chasing habits of his son, sent out his Varia to find and bring the child to him. When Arashi was brought to Xanxus, he automatically saw the family resemblance and took him into the Varia to raise, also placing a small flame seal on the child to keep his flames in check until he could fully control them and releasing it a little at a time. A few months after this, another grandson came to his attention and was also taken in. Arashi's name was also changed from Arashi Tsukino to Arashi Angelo Arca, removing any connection to his mother's family. In a sense, this also keeps her safe from anybody trying to use her or her family against him, but Arashi honestly doesn't care what happens to his mother, but the twin siblings she had after she remarried he does care about, even if they don't know they have a half-brother.
Arashi had already been training with the Varia for a few months before the arrival of his half-brother, so it was almost a surprise when Casval caught up to his brother in terms of training. They were both potential heirs to the name of Captain, so they were regularly pitted against each other in their training sessions. Each had their own fair shares of wins and losses, but more often than not, their fights ended up in a tie and even to this very day, it remains truthful. For six years they continued under the ruthless training of their grandfather until it was finally time to see which one of them would succeed him as Captain of the Varia. Xanxus fully removed the seals on both grandsons' flames. The fight to decide lasted for several hours, but eventually wound up like many of their fights did, in a draw with each other having a blade poking their throats. During the fight, Casval saw that he didn't have as much motivation to be Captain that his half-brother did and conceded to Arashi rather than having another fight with him later. Arashi's training seemed to intensify now that he was going to be the next Captain of the Varia. By the same time a year later, Arashi was being sent out on regular Varia missions with Xanxus and his squad, at least when Xanxus was bothered to actually join them. When Xanxus retired when Arashi was seventeen, he took control of the Varia and offered the position of Vice Captain to Casval, but was declined and so like his grandfather before him, Arashi took on a Rain flame user as his vice-captain and instead offered the Storm guardian position to Casval.
Misc; Arashi is rather tall, standing at 6'4 and is considered handsome in his features. He has been considered a member of the Varia since he was five, technically beating out Belphagor who joined when he was eight out of boredom. However, he was never listed as a full-fledged member or sent out on missions until he was eleven, after the deciding fight with his half-brother over Captain. Belphagor holds this fact over him and still claims that he is the youngest person to join the Varia while Arashi claims that being trained by the old man and Squalo, and the rest of the Varia counts because it'd just as dangerous as any Varia mission.(Bel sort of can't argue with that because he regularly threw knives at Arashi)
Arashi has been Captain since Xanxus retired at seventeen, after decided he didn't want to deal with 'anymore Vongola politics,' and retired to one of the more secluded Varia headquarters in Italy without telling anybody, with his guardians. He is seen on occasion by Arashi whenever they're in Italy or Xanxus is in Japan.
