History & Misc.
Midori was born on a rather rainy Halloween day, by her mother and father, however she didn't really have many memories of the two as she lost them when she was only five. When Midori was only five years old, her home was broken into by a couple of what was supposed burglars, however it was revealed that it was a group of hitmen that were hired to kill her parents. She can remember her mother coming into her room and told the girl that it was gonna be alright and she put the young child in the closet and waved her hand at the girl before closing the door and placed a illusion on the closet. This is where her memories get foggy, because after that point she didn't see her mother after, as the illusion was meant to shield to child from the hitmen, and it also blocked out the girl's hearing of the rest of the house, except from the closet.
It wasn't until the next day when some of the family's acquaintances visited, that Midori was found and the fate of her parents were known. Without any parents to stay with Midori's grandmother offered to take care of the child, and as it turned out her grandmother was actually Chrome Dokuro of the Vongola familia. Although since Mukuro and his descendants took up the mist guardian mantel, Chrome had decided to take up arms as a member of the CEDEF as the Mist guardian, the same as Midori's mother but since her passing Chrome had taken up as a temporary replacement until another mist guardian could be found. While the possibility that Midori might make a good candidate, her grandmother at first protested, and to let the girl figure out what she wanted to do.
So there Midori was living with her grandmother while she attended her schooling, and all seemed normal until the girl turned about fifteen then that was the defining moment in her life. During a rather normal walk home from school she was ambushed by two hitmen, who said that they failed in a earlier mission and that apparently they didn't kill all of their targets, and where they to finish the job. A rather confused Midori was pushed into a corner by the two men, and in a fit of confusion and helplessness she cried out for someone to help her. As if in response to her question a small ring of blades formed around the girl which got the two hitmen off guard saying something of dying will flames, but the girl didn't care as she just wanted the men to disappear, and she fired the blades at the men, impaling them. With two men lying on the ground in-front of her, she couldn't help but cry over the situation until the police heard the commotion and upon sight put the poor girl in custody.
She sat at the police's office for what seemed like hours until her grandmother came rushing in, followed by two men in business suits that made up some explanation for the whole situation. When Midori told Chrome about what happened, her grandmother could only sigh and tell Midori about the mafia world and what she did for a living. At first Midori thought the woman was joking, however it would explain on who those two men that wanted to kill her were, and those weird blades that she found in-front of her. The teen asked her grandmother for help on controlling her flames, and the old woman agreed, and began teaching the young Midori on how to hone her abilities. When Midori was around seventeen she had a large grasp over her illusions and once the skills were recognized she was offered the mist guardian position of the CEDEF and with the permission of her grandmother she gladly accepted the position.
Only a few months as the guardian, Midori received news of some hitmen that seemed to be from the same group as the two that attacked her a few years prior and the girl accepted the job without a second thought. When she arrived on the scene they seemed to be surprised of her showing up, but it seemed that they had someone that was around just in-case if they needed someone with dying will flames. One of the hitmen kept on yelling something about receiving a rather special gift and would quickly put the girl in her place with his illusions. Then he flashed a rather ominous looking ring before summoning two ghost like illusions towards the girl.
The sight was almost unbearable to watch for the poor teen as the two phantoms took the form of her parents, however it didn't seem like they wanted a happy reunion as they attacked the now teary-eyed girl. Midori didn't know what to do, as she was scared that she might hurt her parents further if she tried to resist, so she took the hits while then hitmen just laughed at the poor girl. Her distrait feelings filled her head, until she heard a small voice in the back of her mind,"Don't be fooled. These are only illusions, would you honestly think we may hurt you?" When she heard that voice her eyes widened, as it seemed familiar and with that she quickly wiped her eyes before holding her weapon firmly, and slashed the two phantoms. With a few tears still resting on her cheeks the told the hitmen that no one mocks her parents, and she raised her naginata in the air as a more intense version of her spectral blades illusion took form, instead of a small ring of blades the whole ceiling was covered in naginatas and they quickly rained down upon the group.
In the aftermath the girl walked up to the illusionist hitman and took the rather odd ring from his finger and examined it before placing it on her finger, and the ring started to glow slightly before a ghost like figure appeared on the face of the ring. It was then that she heard the same voice that was in the back of her mind during her dilemma earlier and behind her stood the same two phantoms, except they had a smile on their faces as they complimented the girl on how strong she had become, this made the girl tear up again however these tears were of joy as she was able to see her parents once again. The ring apparently was one of the six hell rings, and this one in particular being the Ossa Impressione ring, and by her reports were missing from the Spiaggia family under unknown circumstances and when she asked an representative she was informed that the ring was rather picky in choosing an owner. Apparently no one could really tap into the ring's true potential, however it seemed Midori was chosen by the ring and she was asked to keep it, so long as she stays with the CEDEF and make sure it isn't placed in the wrong hands.
Now Midori stands as the rather sheltered, shy mist guardian of the CEDEF with the powers of her Ossa Impressione ring under control as she does what she can to make her parent's proud.
• The girl stands at about 5"3 so she isn't all that tall compared to most of the other members, and is often considered younger then her actual age.
