History & Misc.

Manami wasn't always known by the name she currently goes by as she was born as Hitomi Ooyama. Due to the circumstances she doesn't even know what the family she is living with are not her biological family although some questions have always popped in her mind but she had never voiced them. She was born to the Terzo Mountain Guardian of the Simon family who was a kind man and her once had a mother who was just as kind. She lost her parents due to the problems seven years ago and she found herself living in Namimori with a family who has taken care of her since she was 11. She had been exiled and left without her memories of her time on Simon island and the people she knew there.

Manami was told by the family who had been so kind to take her in even though she was 11 that she had been in an accident that made her lose her memories. She doesn't recall anything and as far as they know that's what happened to her. They felt it was best to not tell her what they thought really happened and let her believe that she was really theirs but even now she's noticed some things. She's grown up relatively normal from that time on but something about spears fascinated her since the first time she stepped foot into her home. It was the one thing that she probably did remember about her past although it was more her body remembered and she was allowed to keep up with her training. Her family thought it would be good for her since she seemed to know what she was doing and it ended up being kind of therapeutic to her. She's in her last year of high school and anything about her past is still lost to her. She's preparing to graduate from high school and took up a part time job so she would be ready for college. As far as she's concerned she's a normal girl only trying to lead a normal life even if she's weirdly fascinated by spears and remains a devoted student at a dojo that her family chose for her.

Manami may at times seem like someone that is hard to approach but she is actually quite the opposite. She can't help it when she gets a look of determination on her face especially when she has a spear in her hand. She usually has a serious look on her face because she is concentrating on not falling or tripping or anything of the clumsy sort. She dislikes how clumsy she is after all and its probably a miracle that she still has her part time job as a waitress where she is nothing but smiles and giggles.

Manmi stands at a height of 5'4", which she doesn't seem to mind as being smaller can be an advantage at times. She's sure that the tall genes missed her since her mother and father are both taller than her as is the same for her older brother. Of course her biological mother was where she got her short genes but she isn't aware of that. Her hair color may seem odd as it pink in the back and purple everywhere else but that is something she inherited from her biological family as well. It is completely natural but she isn't really willing to prove it either.

---Mountain Stalagmites

The flames of the mountain gives the user the ability to penetrate and synchronize with soil and sand. It also has complete control over flamed earth and sand. The user is capable of making rocks grow out of the earth or in particular manipulate the ground around them. They can also compress their flames into a solid object such as armor or whatever else they can think of. Currently, Manami is only able to manipulate her flames in a manner that sends stalagmites up out of the the ground around her. This isn't something that she can really control just yet and so its pretty dangerous technique to those around her. It only seems to cooperate when certain emotions send her into extreme stress such as anger or sadness.

---Mountain Spear

The mountain spear is exactly what one would expect it to be. It isn't like any typical spear as it it is slightly different but still just as strong. It has a pole that isn't anything special and pretty boring but made out of steel as well as silver in color. The spearhead is where it isn't normal as it is hollow and the parts that make up the spearhead are like outlines make of steel but still sharp to the point. This doesn't make it any less strong than other spears as it is reinforced and the blade is about 8" in length. At the other end of the pole is a smaller spear tip that can just as easily be used when fighting. The spear is similar to this. The spear as a whole is 8" taller than her and stands at a whole 6'.

Box Animal:
---Mai, Winter Wren

Manami's box animal is that of Winter Wren that she lovingly named Mai because she is very fond of her. Mai is of average size for a Winter Wren and has the same appearance as most of them do. Her feathers are rufous brown above and grayer below and are barred with darker brown and gray especially on her wings and tail. Her bill is dark brown and her legs are pale brown. One thing in particular that is easily noticed are the pale eyebrow-like feathers over her eyes, which are black in color. She is only 4 1/2" tall and as such its pretty easy to not even notice her presence. The mountain flames seem to coat the edges of her wings, the end of her tail, and the talons on her feet.
