Positives
Kaoru has always been a rather outgoing and energetic person ever since he was a child. It has been something that has stuck with him no matter what age he has been. He's fine with it because he thinks it’s refreshing to be like that and because he's always been complimented on it as such. He is quite adventurous as a result of those two personality traits and when he was little it used to get him in all sorts of trouble. He also tends to be very caring and affectionate to those that he is close to or just know in general. He likes to take care of people no matter who they may be and it makes his bakery pretty popular from him being like such. He's been known to be cheerful just about anywhere that he is unless he is in a bad mood but he is naturally like this most of the time. Something that makes him unlike most people who tend to get into trouble or that are energetic is that he has always been intelligent to some degree in his life. He isn't overly smart and it mainly relies to be street smarts but he knows just how to stay financially sound. He's also quite resourceful making use of what he can and usually finds himself dealing with difficult situations with little difficulty. Lastly, he has always been known as really rather tough. Not just in his current looks but also in his ability to take what’s thrown at him; both in physical and verbal sense.

Negatives
Most people seem to notice another side of Kaoru, which can be rude and perverted. He isn't always rude or perverted but he does have his moments and strictly those moments. He only finds the need to be rude when he's dealing with someone he dislikes. He is blunt no matter who he is with be it someone he likes or someone he doesn't. He can't help but blurt out the truth even if it is really rather harsh. He has moments when he can be arrogant and competitive but that only comes with the fighter territory. He's pretty good at tooting his own horn about his abilities as a fighter and he can't help it when it comes to competing. It seems to be only a one sided thing most of the time but he never minds or notices. He can be as stubborn as a mule sometimes and when his mind is made up then there is no changing it. There have been plenty of cases though where he has changed it because it was the smart thing to do. When it comes to those he cares about or who he is loyal to, he can be protective to the extent of it possibly getting on someone's nerves and he can be just as reckless when going about it. He doesn't care if he gets hurt as long the person he is protecting is perfectly safe from harm. Lastly, he has a bit of an issue with being jealous when it comes to his love life. He isn't possessive although one would think so but he can get green if someone is spending time with someone he would like to spend time with or likes.

History & Misc.

Kaoru has never had much of an issue with growing up. His life was rather normal and he always seemed to do normal things. He had his fair share of times that he got in trouble usually for doing things he shouldn't have been doing or getting into fights. He was a tough kid and his mouth whether it was being rude or blunt tended to get him in trouble. He was a protective older brother as well when it came to his younger brother. Their parents owned a bakery and they worked in it whenever they had to. He didn't quite start getting into the mafia business until he was 18 and had nothing better to do. He had heard about the families lurking about but never acted on it until then. He became a hit man then gained his potential and such as the years passed. He came into owning the bakery of his parents when he was 20 as they decided to retire into their savings even though they aren't that old. He didn't seem to mind though because he had grown to like baking. At the time he had been working as a tattoo artist and body piercer but he decided to keep the job even while he runs the bakery and does his hit manning.

The blonde has been in the care of the Varia since he was chosen to be the rain guardian and the vice captain of the assassination squad. He's worked hard over the last couple of years especially when he goes back in forth between the bakery and his other job. He doesn't see any reason to drop any one of them even if his brother has been really clingy lately too. He's developed several new relationships since he has been a member of the Varia and was known to get along with Arashi quite well. They clash well together and even though everyone was pretty sure they were dating at some point in time. He found his way back to an ex of his and reminded himself why he stopped dating the guy in the first place. He went back to Arashi again but soon found himself overly teasing someone he usually treated like a brother. He's got his eye on said person and hopes that they will cave to him soon. Besides breaking off that kind of relationship with his boss he has been doing all his work properly as much as he seems to over work himself sometimes even if he doesn't show it. 

Kaoru absolutely loves ski hats and beanies and has managed to collect a large collection of them. He has his favorite beanie that he wears generally most of the time but he will change to another one if he feels like it.

He's gained a quite a bit of piercings as he's aged but all the ones that he does have he got after he turned 18. His parents were fine with him getting them only after he had finished high school because he was free to do what he wanted. He has been keeping his hair blonde since he started high school much to his parents dislike but they didn't say anything to him about it. It was his hair after all. He stands at 6'2" in height and over all almost looks like a foreigner when he's in Japan. Most of his features making him appear to be from any other country other than Japan.

Commonly associated with those that possess rain flames is the ability to weaken an opponent. The rain flames drain the strength from Kaoru's enemies with a touch from him. Just as long as his finger tips or his hand is covered in rain flames he is able to drain the strength of his opponents. With this comes the possibility of making them unable to move. Once someone is drained of their strength then it becomes difficult for them to move.

---Rain Scythe
The rain scythe is precisely what it is named. It is almost like any other number of scythes in dynamics but unlike a like others in appearance. It is more ornate and detailed. The blade itself is longer than most typical scythes being 64" curved as it should be and sharp to the point. The sharp blade edge is not cut at the normal subtle curve but has parts carved into it. The blade sticks out from the other side of the shaft in two claw like blades, one about 7" in length and the other about 4" with a tiny 2" blade at the very top as well. The shaft of the scythe is 75" in length, silver in color and comes into a point at the top and at the end. The blade itself looks similar to this. Kaoru's scythe works just like his flames do when he's using them with his hand. The effect could possibly be less effective. The blade is covered in rain flames and upon cutting an opponent they have the ability to drain their strength.

Kaoru's animal box is that of a Barn Owl that he nicknamed Aoi for the fun of it. Aoi is of average size for any normal Barn Owl and has the same appearance as most of them do. His feathers are of a pure white color and spotted with brown colored feathers on his wings. His feathers are also speckled a bit with a darker brown color and are soft to the touch. His wing span is that of 43" and his eyes are a coal black color. The rain flames coat the edges of his wings, the end of his tail and the talons on his feet. Aoi can use his flames in the same sense that Kaoru can but at a majorly lesser effect. His use of the flames is usually portrayed by him attacking the opponent and clawing at them with his talons.
