Flame Attribute & Abilities: Flame of Wrath (Sky-Storm)
Blood Root - Sangue Radice; Using the storm flame portion of his sky flames, Casval condenses and extends the flames in the form of what looks like tendrils or even plant roots. This ability is omnidirectional, meaning Cas can cover all 360 degrees around him. However, using this ability in that manner is far from efficient, so he tends to send only a much smaller number of storm flame roots after opponents, which can change direction and chase after them. This also enables him to come up with some interesting strategies. The storm flame tendrils can also branch off and form new ones extending from the larger ones to the point where if given enough time, the surrounding area around Cas looks like it's covered in a network of red roots, or even blood vessels with the branching tendrils appearing like capillaries. Given the destructive nature of both his Storm, and by extension, Wrath Flames, it's something most opponents would do well to avoid. Use of this ability requires a large amount of concentration to maintain. Use of Wrath Flames in this ability increases its deadliness due to the harmonizing nature of Sky Flames and the destructive nature of Storm Flames.
Duration: Up to 6 posts depending on what he is using it for. His concentration can be broken if an attack makes it through the network of tendrils or if he prematurely ends it on his own volition.
Cool Down: Given the amount of flames used, 8 posts.
Range: The Blood Root covers a range of up to 50 meters.
Box Weapon: Storm Nodachi; Splitter of the Heavens - Mannaia dei Cieli
Although Casval first started training with a standard katana, he eventually came to adopt the longer and heavier nodachi crafted by Squalo. He is beyond familiar with the idiosyncrasies of such a non-standard weapon and as such is more than capable of compensating for them. Like his half-brother, he too was well-versed in Squalo's many styles of swordplay. Even without the use of his flames, he is not to be underestimated in the slightest. Spear of Storms - Lancia di Tempeste;
Arguably one of Cas' more basic, yet powerful abilities and an appetizer of sorts for his true power. It operates in two stages; charge up and firing. During the charging phase, Cas cannot move as he is required to be immobile in order to focus the immense amount of flames needed for this ability into his blade. Using the storm flame portion of his wrath flames, Casval condenses and surrounds himself in storm flames while maintaining a hidden layer of sky flames beneath them. The purpose of this is twofold; the storm flames serve to protect him by disintegrating or weakening incoming attacks while the sky flames harmonize and neutralize any flames that bypass the storm flames while giving off the illusion that they are merely being overwhelmed by storm flames.
While this is happening, Cas gathers and condenses storm flames into his blade. The blade and the aura surrounding it grows increasingly red until the veil of storm and sky flames become focused into his blade as well and he releases all of it in a unidirectional blast, which appears as a red beam of storm flames. Along with the storm flames' disintegrating nature, compounded by the amount of condensing carried out during the charge up time, it has substantial kinetic and thermal energy behind, enabling the "beam" to pierce through most defenses, level areas, and destroy hordes. Cas is also able to alter the path by simply swinging his blade while it releases the flames, further widening its area of damage.
Duration: Charge up phase lasts two posts, firing lasts one.
Cool Down: Charge-up time and immobility mitigates its energy demands somewhat, reducing cooldown to one post.
Range: 50 meters
