We were the fire on the moonlit skies
Ryuu sighed deeply as he leaned against a pole across the street from Makoto's apartment. He hadn't really talked to the other since the night there'd be an almost-successful assassination attempt on both their lives. Activity had slowed to almost a halt, with his mom being more vigilant than ever. He'd been baffled to wake up in the morning to see his mom serving Gavril breakfast like the other wasn't an assassin out to get him. Ryuu had obviously taken that in stride and instead asked what was for breakfast and taken a seat next to the other like it was normal. Ryuu just wished he could have seen Ringo's face when Rika brought Gavril back with her to stay the rest of the night and have breakfast with them first thing in the morning. They'd talked after Gavril had left and some of Ryuu suspicions had been confirmed about the assassinations on Makoto. He had suspected something after the previous night, but his mother had confirmed it completely with Gavril's help. Ryuu was slightly surprised to hear that the other had been doing his own part and it was kind of funny because apparently Gavril just didn't want anybody else killing him other than him? It was weird, in a way...sort of like how Mukuro had always claimed he wanted Tsuna's body, even after all the years had passed and Mukuro became a close confidant to Tsuna, along with all of his guardians. Hibari, of course, was a mystery...but Tsunayoshi had trusted him with his life. Ryuu could only hope that one day, whoever the next Vongola boss was would trust him like Tsuna had his guardians.
Ryuu pushed off the pole, walking with a slight limp up the walkway. He'd been there for several minutes now, contemplating on approaching on not. He couldn't help it...the other had seemed pretty...steamed about what he had found out previous. Ryuu was no longer on the crutches...well, he was still technically supposed to be using them and he did when he needed to - he kept them in a storage box at the moment. He had gone to the Vongola's medical team and had a sun flame user work on his leg some, to accelerate his healing process. It was healing normally now, but he had it wrapped in a brace reinforced with lightning flames and sunflames to continue the healing process without a hitch. The small limp would go away, once he was fully healed. It was about time he saw the other though, to check on his own injury. He'd gotten some of the Riva's prized Sunny Pills for him, when he'd given him everything else. It would have accelerated his healing process too, although not as much as true exposure to the flames of the sun.
Ryuu sighed as he stood at the door way and knocked on it lightly. They hadn't really talked about it...Ryuu had wanted to give him the time to process it and now, and now that it was around the time for him to remove the stitches and the bandages for the wound, it was also time to talk and to possibly answer as many questions as he could if the other were to ask. Ryuu and Rika hadn't informed anybody else besides Arashi and the current guardians of Makoto's knowledge, so it hadn't been leaked out yet...but Arashi, known for not usually taking sides in matters had mentioned that he would back them for Makoto knowing. That they could trust him. They were all putting their heads on the line...and Ryuu, Rika, and Arashi could only hope their faith wasn't misplaced.
Ryuu nervously ran his fingers through his hair as he fidgeted, shifting his weight off his injured leg to the other one for a moment before putting it back down. He was nervous, for ample reason. Nobody had come to try to arrest him yet, so he could at least say that Makoto hadn't told anybody about them. He still wasn't sure what Makoto thought. Was he talking to mafioso in prison about the Vongola or something? Information brokers that weren't Arashi? Some brokers were notorious for giving out information, as long as it didn't effect them at all. What sort of information had he found out about the Vongola in the time lapse? About him? That he was an assassin? That Rika had a reputation among the mafia as a wildcat who took down any threats to her family? Of course, the wildcat thing had been slightly exaggerated over the years...but it was still a thing. He supposed he'd start off with asking what he'd learned? If he'd learned anything at all?
