I want to see the splendor of people's souls. Honestly he just wanted to go home that was why, he was so frustrated and so bothered by this. All he wanted was to go home, people couldn't blame him for that now could they? After all he had more then enough going on at this point didn't he? He wanted to figure things out in another way if it was even possible at that moment. Ryuu getting into a fight and getting arrested was rather odd. But maybe he was just supposed to ignore this. After all if Ryuu's mom didn't care then he was not supposed to care. Maybe having his own child is what made him care so much, no matter how he wanted to avoid thinking like that. He was not supposed to be weak, he needed to be stronger than that. Or maybe he was stronger then that and he was just stressing out a little because of lack of sleep. However for now he just wanted to get Ryuu home, pick up his own little girl and get back to his own house. After all he did still have some unpacking to do. They just fled that place so quickly he had just packed things rather crappy like so he didn't know what was in here at all. At least for now he'd have to figure this out in some other way. At least for now, sighing lightly he felt a lot of stress fade. He felt a lot better at least for now. This guy was just lucky he didn't lecture him or anything. Makoto did not care much for being Ryuu's father or anything. But he wanted to keep that boy safe and from doing something seriously stupid. Not that it worked out to well either did it? With a shrug he felt that he needed to get out of here. It did seem that Ryuu had everything at least so they could go now. "I'm only annoyed because I have to be here instead of at home. Leaving my little girl with your mom could be a bad thing...so let's go." He was already aware of what she was doing sometimes, She did kinda forget things sometimes but he had some faith in her. At least that was what he thought, though it'd probably not help anyway would it? Both of them just needed to move on from here already before someone else showed up. After those two had left, he figured it'd be just fine to not stay. They wouldn't be coming back to bother him or the cops anyway. However why he wanted to fight with Ryuu was unknown still. "It's on the papers...so yea of course we have it. Look if you want I guess, I don't care. That family bothers me." He didn't really like Gavril's family to begin with. Something was off about most of them, probably all of them if he looked close enough. "Well he must have a major reason to go after you. I wonder what that is. Seems rather strange if you ask me, that the child of the Maklakov family would have a grudge against you." He was not sure what to make of it, but really what was going on here. Just what did Ryuu get himself into? The fact that Ryuu had destroyed a fire hydrant and damaged some guys cabbages. This was rather bad, he needed this guy to realize that he shouldn't fight like that. If something happened he needed to either take it away from public eyes or just try to figure something else out. Ryuu should know that by now. Yes he had a kid was that really too much of a shocker? He didn't entirely get what the hell he was even talking about now. "She's six so it's rather likely but at least your mother is watching her and she won't get lost or anything. Well not like they'll attack a little girl, obviously that guy just has it out for you." He shrugged, and walked. Not like it mattered to him or anyone now. This whole situation was over now anyway. "Yea it seems so, it's rather different...since before." He didn't really mind. It made him feel comfortable and a lot better at that. Though he was not about to talk about it since that would not do him any good. At least finally they got there and it didn't take too long. He wanted to see his little girl, and get his mind off of the whole fight situation with Ryuu. He walked into the training room without a second thought as he leaned against the wall to watch. "So how is my little girl doing huh?" He just looked over the two of them after all he was not going to say he was against her learning. Giving her a way to defend herself would take some weight off of him. Not very much though because he was a father, and fathers were always protective. RYUU YAMAMOTO |

We were the fire on the moonlit skies "It could be a bad thing...but it's a week day, so she probably does have a few of her students around to help keep an eye on her," Ryuu commented with a roll of his shoulders. At least her older students, one's she's taught for a long time knew about her shortcomings, so it wasn't like she was completely alone with the child. "And I can understand about work being stressful..." Ryuu counted off on his fingers the reason for his stress, minus the mafia work he did for the Varia and for the Vongola. "Mhn...hospital work, helping mom with the dojo and the restaurant, captain of the kendo team for the university, final year of medical school, planning a wedding..." There was the additions of making sure assassins didn't assassinate him, his own training, dealing with Vongola politics...and just a myriad of other things. He was more than capable of handling it. He took a page from Arashi's book sometimes and completely disregarded things some days and just took a day to himself. Basically said fuck everything and took a day for himself.
Ryuu definitely was an over achiever, though. Somebody his age would probably just be half-way through their medical degree. But Ryuu had also been about two years ahead of his age group in general. He'd skipped two years of schooling, and had already been taking some college courses by the time he'd graduated and headed to finish college. Normally, medical school in Japan took maybe six years...but he was jut finishing up after about four, by cramming his schedules full of classes, working over breaks and a bunch of other things that it was surprising that he hadn't died by karoshi at some point. Ryuu looked at Makoto, completely seriously. "Do what I do when you're stress. Take a "fuck everything" day and take a bubble bath...I'm really good at giving massages, too."
Ryuu fell silent for a moment after receiving the name of his attacker. At least the family. "Maklakov. Maklakov. I think I know that name...I just can't recall..." He hadn't really meant to be musing outloud like his was, but he shrugged his shoulders. "I'll ask Arashi-san what he knows..." He knew Arashi worked for the police as a broker, but he didn't really care to go into details about how he knew their information broker. "Just another favor to add onto the ever-growing favors I'm going to owe him..." he muttered, this time to himself. He shook his head, clearing his brain. "Who knows..I haven't made anybody actively hate me in a long time...besides maybe a couple ex girlfriends." And his assassination targets. And enemies of the Vongola...but those were irrelevant. "Since he had obvious skill in the katana, he could have also just been interested in defeating me..."
Ryuu also couldn't be sure that they wouldn't attack a little girl, either...Gavril had made a blatant threat towards Silvia. He couldn't trust that boy not to try to find anybody to use against him. If he was mafia, then it was more and more likely. Everything just got a bit more difficult with Makoto's return, but he was still glad to have him back. Ryuu would just have to keep an extra close eye out on those two and have his mom do the same.
"Mhn...maybe one day she can knock Ryuu down a few pegs," Rika stated casually, looking over at the girl with a bright smile. She returned the training equipment to their respective places before offering her son a hug. "I thought this was one of your days off, Ryuu?" she questioned. Usually he didn't stop by on those days. Ryuu shrugged lightly, offering her the complete explanation without missing a beat. Rika paused for a moment, then giggled.
"I would expect destruction of property from Arashi-kun or Nobu-chan, Ryuunosuke...please tell me you won't follow in their overly destructive footsteps."
"I'll try my best."
"That's all I ask," Rika stated, not at all angry with Ryuu for being arrested. "Thanks for bailing him out, though. Mako-chan," she stated cheerfully, using the nickname she had called him when they were younger. "I can't promise I won't tell Silvia, though, Ryuu." Rika added, as an afterthought. "Are you hungry?"
At this point, Ryuu's hand suddenly went to his face. "Oh. Crap. I forgot I had been supposed to be buying groceries earlier for dinner..." He gave his mom a puppy-eyed look. "Feed me too? And something to take home to Silvia?"
"I was going to anyway. You don't need to ask," she stated, heading towards the restaurant area and the kitchen. She shooed any lingering kendo students out with their food, as well as her cook out of the kitchen to do it herself.

I want to see the splendor of people's souls. What else was he supposed to say here? It was rather weird for all of this, he did not have a clue of what to do either. Makoto felt a bit of stress fade now that he was back here with his little girl. Maybe it was not so bad this girl was taking care of his daughter. She'd make sure the little girl was okay, and he wouldn't have to be that concerned. As long as she had students with her as Ryuu put it. Work always had that stressful quality to it, and he did not want that anymore. But of course it was probably not important. This guy might understand some of it but would Ryuu understand everything. He was still a child compared to Makoto, even if he had grown up a bit after his dad died. It did not change how Makoto sometimes viewed this guy as a child. But he did not talk about it. Right now he just kept on walking, the male wanted to be able to sit down and relax after all. "Still not much of a shocker you two finally tied the knot. If you hadn't I might have thought you were gay." Not that he cared, obviously he was only teasing. But he never really went out of his way to judge people. Of course Makoto didn't have assassins after him or anything. He was free about those things unlike Ryuu over here so maybe he'd be okay. Maybe. However at the same time it'd probably not work out as planned.Right now all he wanted was to go home, and this made him think about other things. Like taking his little girl home for the night, tucking her into bed and reading to her. Or something a dad would do. Even if he basically had to be a cop every day of his life and do a lot of things. Take a day off? Would he actually do that? Could he do that, of course he knew he didn't want to. People died when cops took a day off. How many times had he remembered that from his life in the other part of the world he was living in. It'd probably not help to think about that though as it was already in the past. "Maybe I'll do that and take you up on part of that offer perhaps. Don't try to get too involved with that family, at least most of them. If you want to find out about that boy then do so but the rest of them stay away." He was not about to change his mind there, after all those people were bad. They were not good in any form and he did not wish to risk his friends safety or the people he saw as family. Sighing lightly he almost wondered what he was supposed to do now anyway. That family was just one of those ones he'd hope Ryuu would be smart and stay away from at least right now. Arashi hm? Well maybe he'd know a few things but of course he was not going to talk about that now. It would be something else they could handle, not in a family like setting. "You really are just getting yourself into a lot of stuff aren't ya? How many favors do you owe him now?" Makoto wasn't judging, he was only asking a few questions. Honestly the idea of Arashi being owed favors was nothing new. But having them be from Ryuu of all people was really new anyway. "Who knows, maybe he's related to one of those ex girlfriends of yours, or something. Or maybe he was just one of those guys...that well, you can figure it out." Makoto had his job here and he had no plans to leave it just because of this guy. Simple as that really, he'd have to deal with it. Which meant also Ryuu was going to have to anyway. "Maybe so, come here." He leaned down to pick up his little girl and just held her in one arm as he glanced at the two of them. Well at least Rika didn't seem too bothered by all of this so perhaps that was a plus in it's own right. He just stood back and listened to the conversation between the two of them. Let them talk, as really this was not his business anyway. "Of course though I'd rather not have it happen again." He just shook his head at Ryuu acting like that, it was adorable still. But he wanted to just get home with his daughter soon. As she needed food and to get some of her work done. RYUU YAMAMOTO |

We were the fire on the moonlit skies If he hadn't, then the other was going to think him gay? What was up with that! Ryuu huffed slightly in annoyance at the implication. Sure, he'd dated a guy here and there and he wasn't totally against the idea of dating guys...but he did prefer females, overall. "I dated a guy once, for like two days," Ryuu eventually stated in an offhand, nonchalant tone of voice. It wasn't that big of a deal, but they just hadn't been compatible. Granted, Ryuu also refused to admit the idea that he'd be a submissive in those kinds of relationships. That he'd an uke...Oh yes, he knew all those terms. One simple does not grow up in the presence of a girl who liked that kind of thing without knowing the terms. He'd grown up around all sorts of weird things, so nothing really fazed him much because of it. Except spiders. Those scared him.
Nobody could fathom he fear of spiders, but then again...one of his kidnapping attempts, they had rescued him from a web of spider silk. It had not been a pleasant time. From that day forward, he had been afraid of spiders and refused to go anywhere near them. Especially large ones that spewed flames. He couldn't much control the box animal his opponents had...he'd been unlucky enough to go after a guy with a spider box animal once before and it hadn't been pretty. Ryuu normally loved a good fight, but when box spiders came into play...he wanted to end the fights soon as he possibly could so the spiders would just leave him the hell alone.
Ryuu snorted slightly, at the warning. He knew that it was wise not to get involved...but he'd already gotten involved with that family when their idiot attacked him. He wanted to research that family and figure out why they were after him. He'd let Arashi or Silvia handle that, but he could also handle his own fair share of research. He was a university student, after all. Research and research papers were like a given. He would be careful when he did, though. He didn't want those he cared about in danger because he was digging his nose in too deep.
"Mhn...right now...let's see...two. I need him to deal with the whole arrest thing and since he's an info broker...I imagine I could bum some info off him after he's done being my acting lawyer." Ryuu answered, truthfully. "His grandfather was really close to one of my swordsmanship instructors, who also happened to my grandfather's rival when he was young...so we've known each other since I was born pretty much and since his grandfather took him in...give or take." It was basic knowledge in the mafia that Arashi had been taken in by Xanxus and the Varia. Ryuu couldn't be sure that it was the same for Makoto to know that Arashi was taken in by his grandfather, but a lot of people lived with their grandparents if something happened to their parents it probably wasn't overly surprising. Although, they probably knew next to nothing about their resident information broker and Ryuu seemed to know a lot. Ryuu himself, spent a lot of time with his own grandfather after his father had died.
"Well...we'll figure him out eventually," Ryuu stated casually, rolling his shoulders in a shrug. Preferably before he found a katana stabbing him in the back, but hey...beggars can't be choosers. He'd rather the other not figure him out though...since he obviously knew that Ryuu was mafia then it was likely that he was too and he didn't want Makoto getting in the middle of a war between him and this Maklakov family. Granted, the Vongola were one...so if this family intended to war themselves on Ryuunosuke and the Yamamoto family, then they were attacking the Vongola as a whole. This could definitely get messy.
Rika didn't take long in the kitchen, having become a pro with working around it in her youth. She'd helped her own grandfather with the shop before he had passed away of old age shortly before she herself entered her teenage years. It had been a sad moment for both her and her father. Rika often felt bad that Ryuu would never get to meet his great grandfather, but at least his grandfather was around still. There was a nice chunk of the previous generation still kicking and screaming like banshees and that was nice...besides the banshee screaming, of course.
She returned with four to-go meals, placing two of them before Makoto and the other two for Ryuu. "You bailed Ryuu out of jail...and an old friend. Don't worry about it," Rika stated pleasantly, waving a dismissal before anything about be said. "You'll just have to bring your daughter here a lot!" she stated, overly cheerfully. "I have plenty of help around here to have multiple eyes on her." It was clear that Rika enjoyed having another child around she could baby that wasn't one of her actual students, or her son. There was a glimmer of sadness over the fact that the girl wasn't hers and the fact that while she could still have children, it was an unlikely thing to happen since the loss of her second child after her husband had died. "Goodness knows how lonely it gets with Ryuu out of the house..." she stated, glancing over at him and smirking slightly. "Hopefully I'll have grandchildren to spoil soon enough."
Ryuu had already gotten into his food, like the male that he was and turned a bright shade of cherry red before hiding his face behind the bowl of food while he ate.
"I don't mind babysitting her while you're at work, Mako-chan~!" Rika stated cheerfully, turning her attention away from her son for a moment back to Makoto. "I promise I won't lose her or forget her anywhere...it's not like I'll be going anywhere with her. I'll make Ryuu grocery shop for me if I need to."
Ryuu said something completely muffled through his food, but obviously wasn't meant to be translated for anybody. Probably something along the lines of his most recent shopping attempt, or fact that his mom couldn't forget him at the grocery store like she used to.
"Rude, Ryuunosuke." Rika stated, either understanding his words after years of translating teenage boy, or for the fact he was talking with his mouth full.
"Anyway...you two probably should head home...it's getting late, isn't it? Even a quiet town like this can get pretty dangerous at night," Rika stated evenly. Between the mafioso in the town and whatnot, Rika honestly would prefer those two be home before it got too wild outside.

I want to see the splendor of people's souls. Makoto was just saying it to say it in all honesty, he was not going to complain too much at this point. As if it'd do any good regardless at this point. For a moment he might as well figure out what was happening here. Just how far they were supposed to even go. Makoto could only think about going home now, trying to get rid of his slight exhaustion and feed his daughter. Maybe she'd go to sleep too. Perhaps being around Ryuu's mom had worn her out quite a bit, it sounded nice to him honestly. Just one night of being able to relax and actually sleep. If his mind would not race and let him anyway. Makoto tilted his head and glanced over at Ryuu. "Oh? Two days only? Whatever happened with that?" This wasn't that bad honestly, dating a guy was a thing. People did it. Some people liked it forever and others went back to females. It was more or less a normal thing, just trying to figure things out. If it all worked out then they'd all be okay anyway or so he thought at this point. Really Ryuu was a bit weird but let him experience things and grow. Do as he must or whatever. It was not going to bother Makoto, he felt too tired to think about that. It'd just end up exhausting him even further right about now anyway. He needed to get some extra rest tonight after he got them fed. Makoto just hoped Ryuu would not end up in his care again, him getting arrested was a bad idea. Soon enough it'd go on his record and remain there. And then Ryuu would have to deal with that for the rest of his life. "I suppose, whatever you decide to do then. All of this is beyond me, it's on you now." He shrugged, really let Ryuu do as he pleased. If he got into trouble Makoto was not very likely to bail him out either. Why bother when it obviously did very little? Perhaps he was just over tired so this was bothering him. Or making him really grumpy but he'd deal with it later. He might as well go home before he said something else. Eventually maybe things would work out for the best but Makoto wasn't thinking about that now. He had other things on his mind, which included wondering if Ryuu could get himself out of trouble now. Or would he drag Rika and the others into it by accident? No one needed to get hurt, not Ryuu and not anyone else involved with him. Of course who knew just how far that guys family would go. Or just what they might end up doing anyway. He felt that it was just time to go home, take his little girl home so she could eat and sleep. Sounded like a plan to him. Looking down at the food he almost thought of pulling his wallet out anyway. After all he felt like it was something he should do. But the little girl was tugging on his arm and trying to get him to leave. "Hm maybe I'll take you up on that offer. Seems like I can't find a good babysitter anyway. Hah, knowing him it'll happen sooner rather than later." He was only teasing a little bit but it didn't seem to bother him. Should it bother him, or any of them? Most likely not anyway, of course at that same moment he knew Ryuu might get all HEY about it, but let him. Makoto had just bailed him out of jail so he was going to joke about a few things. But if he got a good babysitter then this would be okay, or so he hoped. Right now though he just wanted to take her home and she was more then happy to go it seemed. "Hm yea, we'll go I suppose. She wants to go back home already it seems. Keep a closer eye on Ryuu, I don't want to find him in a jail cell again. Go say bye." He pushed his little girl forward to say good bye. Which the girl did and then she scurried behind her father again before Makoto waved and left them alone. RYUU YAMAMOTO |
