Vindice

Vindice was formed by Bermuda von Veckenschtein before even Giotto created his vigilante mafia family. The exact time of when they were formed is unknown, but Vindice members of the past are revealed to be former Arcobaleno who had their Pacifiers drained of the flames and subsequently died because of it. Using a great deal amount of anger and resentment towards Checkerface and those of the Pacifiers, the Vindice came to be as they were known as during Tsunayoshi's childhood. They ran Vendicare Prison without mercy and took their jobs as judges of the mafia world seriously. If somebody is doomed to the prison, they will remain there unless allies of the doomed party convince them to release their ally from the prison. Rarely, however; do the Vindice actually do this. Being former Acrobaleno, the Vindice are powerful, although not near as powerful as a normal Arcobaleno. The used the Flames of Night provided by Bermuda.
In current times, however; those former Vindice rely on normal humans to run the prison and would rather protect the pacifiers than anything. Bermuda, however, does provide Flames of the Night to the members of Vindice whenever they require transportation to retrieve a villain for the prison. Current Vindice run on their own powers and flames, so have little need for Flames of Night besides Bermuda providing transportation whenever needed.

Guidelines

Vindice are required to uphold the laws of the Mafia, Omerta, and those who break it are sentenced to life in Vendicare unless allies negotiate their release. They are required to be able to fight on their own.
Vindice receive rings that are spiritually connected to the Acrobalenco Pacifiers, so their rings receive power from the pacifiers themselves. Vindice rings are S-ranked along with Vongola, Mare, Simon, and Hell Rings.
