The Varia came into being during the second generation of the original Vongola family, however; they were not considered a separate entity at the time. The Varia's boss was Ricardo and they were considered his personal assassination squad. Future generations continued the trend of considering the Varia as a personal squad to use to deal with any vendettas they had against rival families or people. At some point during this, the Varia split into a complete separate entity under the leadership of the First Sword Emperor, Tyr. Tyr was the first true captain of the Varia, however; he was defeated by Squalo who then passed the name of captain onto Xanxus.

During Xanxus' reign, he molded the Varia into what it is today, a group of the world's greatest hitmen and assassins. A genius group of assassins that no one could rival. He wanted the Vongola to be strong and even with his initial hatred of Tsunayoshi, he eventually became one of his closest allies to a point that Tsunayoshi could trust Xanxus with his life. Tsuna had long since proven himself to the Varia's Captain. Xanxus eventually retired and passed the name of Captain onto his grandson, who continues to instill fear into the mafia world about the 'demonic' assassins of the Varia.

Guidelines

- Many Varia assassins are considered 'geniuses' of assassination. This isn't a given by Arashi's standards of who joins, but it's more than likely that they will become genius assassins as the Varia is known for.
- Varia members should know at least seven languages. This isn't a complete guideline for joining...but if you don't, one should be prepared to begin learning to catch up to the other members.
- Varia members have an above 90% mission completion rate. Missions that other hitmen won't take are usually done by Varia membrs. 

How to Join

One should request to join in this thread. If you are accepted into the Varia, if you want to do a recruitment thread, then we can. Arashi is known to stalk his potential members for several days before asking them to join.
