She took in a deep breath, held it, and exhaled. She knew it was a green thing to get frustrated at something so insignificant. I need to take a break. I should probably grab coffee or tea. I wonder if anyone else who’s still here will be getting something too. The CEDEF guardian thought as she made her way towards the break room.[/ul]

"Why hello there."

Chizuru hummed to herself as she walked on in the break room and stretched herself. Today, she got a surprising amount of work done. She checked the clock. Come to think of it, her son must be in his apartment and her husband must've made it home by now. Too bad Chizuru has to do a little bit more work here before she can get home. Looks like she is tasting her husband's cooking again. She liked pizza but she wished Ringo was back home to cook again. Ah the busy life of being in CEDEF.

Preparing a pot for herself and whoever else is still in the office building, Chizuru hummed in front of the coffee machine as she prepared the drink. She wished every day at CEDEF was this peaceful...but her long years working here said that this was one of the more rare peaceful days. Oh well, at least she can enjoy it now. Her sighing co-worker who came in through the door just now might have to say otherwise.

Mint Dolconda, a descendant of Basil, and as such the Rain Guardian of CEDEF. Chizuru smiled and waved hello over to the girl. She is still young (granted she is about as old as her son) but her efforts within the organization are none the less appreciated and the girl is still learning after all. Chizuru herself honestly finds her adorable.

"Hello there, Mint." Chizuru took out the pot of finished coffee from the machine. "Here for some coffee? How would you like it?"

[words: 365][tagged: CEDEF] It wasn't really like Midori to be still in the office at this time, as she would usually just get all of the paperwork done early to save herself a headache for latter on. However it seemed that there was a bit more then she anticipated, and it was evident by her rather large pile of paperwork that remained on her desk and a small huff from the women."Reiko-channn, why did you dump this paperwork to me-?" She moaned slightly, with Naraku tilting his head to his owner but still just lid there right next to her desk, and remained just rather bored. Midori couldn't blame her box animal's reaction, but there wasn't much she can do about that, except to finish the work but with the subject manner of what she was working with, and just fiddled around with her CEDEF mist ring that was on her finger. She could feel her concentration slowly going away, so in an act of trying to getting back on track she pushed back her chair and grabbed a small notebook with the words, "Midori's Pairing Journal" scrolled across the top in small writing. When she walked to the side of her desk, Naraku slowly got up and stretched slightly before following the woman towards the direction of the break room. What Midori intended was to make a cup of coffee and write down a few notes in her journal all by her lonesome, as she really haven't anticipated the other members to be around and she found that working on her journal helped her focus. However the was rather surprised by the sight of seeing two of her fellow members being in the break room, one of them being the CEDEF veteran Chizuru while the other was Mint, who was still relatively new to the group. Midori was startled enough to let out a small "Epp!" as she clung her journal tight to her chest, while Naraku only just shook his head slightly of the woman's reaction."H-hello Mint-Chan, Chiziro-senpai. I-if there is enough for another cup I wouldn't mind having one. T-two sugar and cream please." She spoke nervously, but it was a bit expected from the usual shy woman. all this time i was searching for the rain

"Why hello there."

“Hello there, Shiro-senpai. I’ll take my cof- ”

"Epp!" Oh? Another cute one has entered the break room. CEDEF's very own Mist Guardian, Midori Noboku. Chizuru let out a light chuckle at her presence. She just looked so adorable clutching that journal to her chest. She still couldn't believe that she was twenty. "H-hello Mint-Chan, Chiziro-senpai. I-if there is enough for another cup I wouldn't mind having one. T-two sugar and cream please." Chizuru nodded.

“Midori-chan, you surprised me. Shiro-senpai just made some coffee if you’d like a cup. I’ll take a cup with a two lumps of sugar and a dash of the French vanilla creamer. If you’d just pour me a mug, I can fix it the rest of the way myself.”

"Right away." Chizuru hummed as she started to reach for the cabinet for three cups of coffee. It seems Mint also had something else to say as Chizuru prepared the coffees.

“I know this is pretty sad, but I have some chocolate chip cookies at my desk. Would you like me to bring some for us to have with our coffee? I can also bring a treat for your loyal partner too if you’d like, Midori-chan.”

"That would be lovely." Chizuru said as she poured the coffee and started to prepare the sugars. Personally, she preferred if her son prepared her the coffees but alas Ringo is likely doing the same for his job at the moment. She started to apply the extra ingredients for each one. Chizuru placed all the cups on a tray and started to walk over to a nearby table. "The indigo one is Midori's and the blue one is Mint's. I don't need to say the purple one is mine." She gently placed the tray down and smiled at her first sip of coffee, welcoming the others to join her in sitting down.

She confessed, her cheeks redden slightly but after a small shake of the head she looked back at the two other guardians,"Thank you Chizaru-senpai for the coffee. As for the cookies, I wouldn't mind some." She said with a small smile, with the topic of a treat for Naraku came up she glanced at his canine. "I don-t know I think Naraku had-" "Woof!" "...I-if it isn't too much trouble. Thank you." She sighed, but smiled slightly as she gave the dog a small pat on the head. Her box animal was shaking his tail in glee, and who was Midori to crush a dog's wish of treats? It did reinforce the idea that her box animal was more like a normal pet then a being who was supposed to fight with her during combat situations. When Chizuro went with the tray of drinks and sat down, Midori trailed behind with her canine by her side. When she took a seat, she placed her journal down so that the cover was well covered, sure it wasn't a secret about Midori's hobby but if word got out on some of those groups it might cause an debate. As she took her cup of coffee she blew on it once as a force of habit, before taking a sip,"Mmm. This is good, I find that I can never get the right amount of sugar and cream in mine when I do it." She complimented her fellow guardian with a small smile. as she recalled all of her past attempts of making her own coffee, tea however was a different story, as that is something that she can make almost without a hitch. "So why are you two still around? If you don't mind me asking." She was kinda curious on why the other two were still hanging around this late, although she hasn't been known for sticking around at this hour so for all she knew they could have always been here this late. Naraku didn't really care though as he sat on the floor, right next to his owner with his tail still wagging, anxious for his treat. mirror, tell me something who's the loneliest of all

[/i] The young guardian thought before making her way back to the breakroom. When she entered, she could see the steaming mugs of coffee.

She sat down by the blue mug, seeing as how the other two were already in the hands of the other two women. She placed the box of cookies on the table, gesturing to them. “Feel free to help yourselves!” She said before turning to the box animal.

“Here you go Naraku, just like I promised.” She said in a voice denoting her fondness of animals as she held out the treat for him to take.[/ul]

"Why hello there."

"Sorry, I just didn't really expected anyone to still be around at this hour." Chizuru wanted to take a bunch of pictures of Midori right now but with how shy she is that might be in bad taste. "Thank you Chizaru-senpai for the coffee. As for the cookies, I wouldn't mind some."

“It’s no problem at all! If you give me a quick moment, I’ll be right back with them.” Mint went off to get the cookies for them. Considering the chaos involving the inheritance of the Vongola, it was nice seeing everything so peaceful at the moment.

"Mmm. This is good, I find that I can never get the right amount of sugar and cream in mine when I do it." Midori said. Chizuru chuckled in response.

"It takes practice like all things in life." Though Chizuru was now remembering how her son accidentally used too much sugar. Drinking solidified caffeine and sugar was...interesting suffice to say. Mint came back, having retrieved herself a box of treats.

“Feel free to help yourselves!" Mint placed the box of cookies down. "Here you go Naraku, just like I promised.” Mint then presented one to Midori's box animal. Chizuru can't help but to be a little bit envious. Her own box animal did not like to be bothered often and was content feeding off her flames than being feed actual food. Then again, feeding food doesn't really do anything for the box animal but she can assume they can still taste it.

"So why are you two still around? If you don't mind me asking." Midori asked.

"I'm sorting out paper work myself. I manage to get a lot of work done today, though no doubt tomorrow has much more in store for me. Seeing as how I'm a veteran they constantly ask my opinion on current matters even though I made my stances of neutrality quite clear." Chizuru said remembering the questions she gets bombard on the phone. Maybe she should have that blocked during work hours? No, she could miss important calls. "At least my son is out of the hospital and tomorrow, my family and I are going to have a wonderful dinner!" Chizuru was suffice to say, happy at the moment.

[words: 528][tagged: CEDEF] The woman could only nod slightly at Chizuru's advice but she couldn't help but shudder as she remembered her past attempts at making the caffeinated beverage, either she would add way too much sugar and feel like she was drinking candy, or this one time where she just completely forgot to put anything in it and it was so bitter that she spat it out. "Until that day comes, I would rather the people who know what they are doing handle it." She said in a rather cheerful tone as she took another sip of her coffee and smiled. It was nice to just sit around and talk with her fellow members, instead of dealing with the chaos the Vongola was currently in with the whole ring battles and what-not. Then when Mint came back with a box of cookies and a treat for Naraku, which excepted the treat from Mint and was now rather content of just eating away, which really just made Midori wonder,"Sometimes I swear you are just an everyday dog that was put in the box." She commented to her animal only to be given a quizzical look from the dog before he went back to his treat, which Midori could only smile at slightly. It was odd to see an box animal actually eat food, instead of flames however it seemed that Naraku was just rather content on eating the occasional treats or certain foods, however Midori didn't really mind as it meant that she had a pet of sorts and she knew that when she needed the animal's help in a fight he would pull his own weight. When Chizuru said that the reason that she was still in the office was due to an combination of paperwork and phone calls asking her various questions due t her status as the CEDEF veteran of the group. Midori had to admit that she was a bit envious of her due to her ability of coming back to the group after a hiatus and able to answer all of those bombardments of phone calls. The mist guardian was sure that she wouldn't be able to take the pressure of it all if she was in her senpai's position,"I wish I was like yous Senpai. I couldn't bare to handle all of those questions." She stated as she complimented Chizuru with a small smile and with the news of her son being out of the hospital and having a nice dinner, she then remembered on how her son Ringo was the next lightning guardian of the familia."That's nice to hear." She added on before remembering if she actually had any plans for supper tomorrow. She slowly reached out for a small cookie and dipped it in her coffee before taking a small bite, she then looked over to Mint with a small smile,"Thank you for the sweets, they are really good." She now now just content on having a small bite out of her cookie before deciding to speak up a little,"D-didn't your team play recently? How did they go?" She asked showing that small talk really wasn't her forte. mirror, tell me something who's the loneliest of all
